I am Wyndham Gold member (from developer, $$$$).
If I buy additional points on the resale market, are they managed completely separately by Wyndham as far as making reservations, online booking, reservation and housekeeping fees?
Or can the new points roll into the existing contract?
I think I know the answer but I would like to hear it from a non Wyndham person.

Actually, you want to hear from a person NOT employed by Wyndham.

Currently
, if you buy a resale contract it will be added to YOUR GOLD member ID account.

And as with ALL things Wyndham ... it is currently.

Fortunately, a resale contract in the grand scheme of ALL the $$$ spent with Wyndham ... it is chump change.

My resale points pretty much work the same as those expensive points.

Linda is right. Presidential Reserve points are accounted for separately within your account but regular old Club Wyndham Plus points are in the same sub-account, regardless of whether they are retail or resale.

One slight clarification. Newly acquired points will not roll into an existing contract -- the new contract will be added to your existing account.

This is exactly what we are doing now, and how Jim described it is how I understood it as well.

Thanks for the info. I almost get it.
But just to clarify, this means the new, resale points are useable with the same VIP benefits as the my original Gold points? In other words, the same 35% discount inside 45 days, free upgrades, no reservation fee?
If I bought enough points to get over 1 million points total, would I become Platinum?

On the resale, you have ARP for the week you bought resale, you cannot use the resale in combination with your VIP contract to book ANY resort, just the resale week.

To clarify. Inthe case of a converted fixed week you can reserve your week in the 10-13 month window. (ARP) and you cannot combine the converted weeks points with any other points to get a different or more expensive unit

However at 10 months points are points and you can combine them to make any reservation

Don't confuse VIP with arp one doesn't have any effect on the other

It is affected, overall. The intersection point is at the 13 to 10 month period. At that point they are not autonomous, and other than credit pooling, the contracts do no intersect. So the answer is, yes and no.

I quoted your intersection point to make SURE we all understand what ronparise is clearly stating but YOU, raygo123, are either confused on or writing a confusing answer to ME and others.

The Converted Fixed Weeks only have ARP for the underlying unit on the deeded - their deeded week CAN NOT reserved by ANYONE other than THEM .. the deeded owner. Deeded CWP points have ARP for any unreserved TIME at the underlying RESORT not already booked by other resort owners .. by CWP deeded owners; the member's CWA share of the resort during the 13 thru 11 months ARP is reserved for CWA members' advanced booking.

I can NOT change either the unit size or week number for my converted fixed week for ARP priviledges ... but I can play the cancel and rebook OR unit upgrade (or both) to save points on the reservation IF I so want to gamble.

I believe my converted points can be USED for my GOLD/PLATINUM 11 month recipricol ARP to any resort.

Let me see .. 3 pots of points and ARP: CWP, CWA and converted fixed week's points.

Linda, Ron, Hopeful, etal,
Great information about ARP, converted weeks, CWA and all.
My remaining question-
When I buy additional UDI type points on the resale market to add to my developer UDI CWP points, are the additional points thrown into my online account such that I can book, cancel, upgrade and such without constantly tracking which points are which?

They ought to go into the same member number and at 10 months, points are points, Mix and Match as you see fit
