Can anyone tell me what the 2012 maintenance fee is for the studio unit? Only need the fee plus reserve amount. Thanks.

Were studios sold separately or only as part of a lock-off?

DeniseM, ... "Were studios sold separately or only as part of a lock-off?"

The OP's question is probably occasioned by this pending eBay auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Westin-St-J...70558330836?pt=Timeshares&hash=item5646ff67d4

It's for a studio in the VG (Hillside) section. It is for a week 44 fixed use. It is listed as "Platinum" but it's really better described as "Hurricane." The best season at WSJ is Platinum Plus.

None of the later 2 and 3-bedroom units which make up the BV phase are lockoffs. None of the early VG units are lockoffs either. The larger units are 2-br non-lockoffs or 3-br pool villas.

The lack of lockoff capability is a drawback to owning at WSJ. If a guest decides not to come, you can be stuck with an unused bedroom unless you cancel altogether - or find another, last-minute guest. It also means that if you don't use the week, you would rent out the week (or try to trade with an owner at Harborside) rather than depositing lockoff portions of your unit in II. ... eom

Actually NO.....this is not why I am asking but thanks for pointing that out.
Not really sure I would want a hurricane week :D (or my friends) Just wanting to know what the maintenance fee is for a friend. Anyone? We own a 1 BR Premium Villa and have told our friends the studios on the bottom level are pretty dark with no view. Trying to talk them into the 1 BR like we own. I went on redweek and some other " for sale" websites but the mf's are all over the place.
