Making plans on a trip to Princeville next summer and would really appreciate feedback from anyone who has stayed here since it opened. I'd like to make a building/floor request but it is hard for me to decide based only upon a review of the maps available here.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ken,

Thanks for for your reply. I'm pretty good at conducting searches on this board but couldn't really find a good answer to my question beyond the very generic "request 2nd or 3d floor for the chance at a view." I was looking for something more specific, along the lines of "we stayed in building 5 on the 1st floor and it sucked because," or "we stayed in building 7 and it rocked because." I saw a thread and mini-review by ciscogizmo1 but it was from just after the resort opened and didn't really address access/view issues.

Anyone who has stayed at this resort and has good/bad things to say about any particular location would be greatly appreciated.

Most units don't have ocean views. The best views are from the end units of Bldg's C & G, then F, then B. The ocean location is represented by the gray wavy lines at the bottom of this picture. Of course, it's at the bottom of a cliff.

This is the view from the ground floor at the end of Bldg. G:

Building D has great views of the golf course and the ocean in the distance from every room. No chance of a parking lot view in that building, and the ground floors are just as good as the second floor, if not better. The downside is that it is a bit of a walk to the pools and barbecues. However, the buildings are numbered now, and not lettered. My recollection is that "D" is now building 5.

We stayed in building 7 (F) on the 3rd floor. We had a great view of the ocean and pool. It was also pretty convinient to get to the parking lot (occupancy was low) and pools / restaurant.

Um... actually, you were in building 7 (G)... I was in building 6 (F) at the northern end (toward the water). When I was there, I believe the management told me that buildings 6 & 7 were the best for the view, but most are good. It all depends on what you want.
