It's like a movie... No, wait. It was a movie...

Beginning of the End (1957)
Giant Bugs Go On A Rampage

Giant Bugs Go On A Rampage.
In this movie, the government screws up again and another experiment
gone wrong leads to giant locusts eating their way through Chicago.

Oh brother! Giant Asian hornets that can kill with a single sting? Where's my Hazmat suit?
Uh oh, according to the Sun, "The insects also use their jaws to saw through protective clothing."

So much for that Hazmat suit.

That film is probably cited as documentation by the Sun.

I was in Japan a couple of years ago with my family, and we were walking in a public garden. I looked over to my right where my DIL was carrying my young grandson in a backpack. As I was looking at them, one of those hornets flew into a gap between her back and the pack. It landed on her back. I had never seen a hornet that large. I was afraid it would sting her back, or my grandson, if she would have brought her arms forward causing the pack to shift tight against her back. In a loud commanding and calm voice I said, "Do not move! I am not kidding!" I tend to do some kidding. She could tell that I wasn't kidding. She froze, and eventually the hornet flew a way. She saw it then, and just about went into shock. She was horrified with the size of it. So was I. I have learned since, that it may only be deadly to those that suffer allergic reactions to those kind of stings.

:eek:I knew it would be an article regarding these hornets. All over the news now. I wish it wasn't so. I don't know if we can handle this back to back.
