My wife and I are looking to purchase some One Time Use Credits that have some time to be used. Could someone inform me in on how to make the transfers, what to avoid and how long the process from start to finish may take.

OTU credits are usually less expensive when they are close to expiring, as owners often sell them for less than the maintenance fees. You would simply find an owner who has credits available to rent or sell. I typically pay half up front and the remaining half after the transfer is complete.

The owner completes the transfer form on WM, and WM processes the transfer. In my experience, transfers can take anywhere from as little as three days to about two weeks, though sometimes longer. There is also a cap on transfers of no more than twice your annual credit amount.

Here are 10 key points about “one-time” use credit purchases:

There are zero transfer fees. Yahoo!

No matter how many credits you purchase, it does NOT increase your maintenance fees. The reason for this is that your maintenance fees are based on your annual credits, not the available credits in your account. Having more annual dues payments are expensive so why not get more credits every year without having additional dues payments!

The cost to buy one-time use credits are about 40% less than the maintenance fees on the account they are transferring from. Yes, you are saving a tremendous amount of money!

You can buy them whenever you need versus having the lifetime responsibility of having more annual credits and higher dues payments.

One-Time credits have expiration dates attached to them just like the credits in your current account. The credits expiring soonest are often the best deals.

Worldmark limits you to bringing in or selling a total of 2 times your annual credits per anniversary year. So, for example, if you have a 10,000 annual credit membership you can bring in or sell a total of 20,000 credits per anniversary year. Once your anniversary date arrives you can do it again.

If you already have reservations in your account and you purchase some one-time use credits that expire sooner than the credits in your reservation then the credits AUTOMATICALLY shuffle into those reservations. This means you instantly have your longer expiration credits ready to book for more vacations. It’s an awesome system. Thank you Worldmark!

You can use Worldmark one-time use credits for RCI exchanges!

You can use Worldmark one-time use credits for Interval International exchanges as well!

It only takes about 72 hours for the credits to arrive into your account so you can book your next vacation fast!

Hey @hrmoreau, how are house-keeping credits treated for one time use credits. Are you able to transfer HK from the seller, or are you limited to the HK in your own account?

In Worldmark you can not transfer HKT or GC. When you could transfer HKT it was a Gold Mine for Platinum Owners. They could sell all their normally issued HKT because they got free Housekeeping.

Great answer I have been an owner for many years and never thought of using WM OTU credits for RCI exchanges!
