Another thread got me thinking about what would be the single worst trading timeshare week. I know the second week in November on a northeastern beach or at any North American ski area a week or two before they open for the season would be undesireable...but someone might want to go for the scenery at any time of year.

Now accepting nominations for the week and resort no one would ever voluntarily go:

We were in Southern Cal last December visiting family. We got lost on the way from Palm Springs to Lake Isabella - ended up in Helendale. Found out after I started looking at this site that there is actually a timeshare there! LMAO!

This place is in the middle of NOWHERE!! Desert for miles and miles! LONG drive to everything! The "lake" is small, concrete, man-made and not attractive. It was ugly in December - I can't imagine what it would be like in the heat of August!

Now, in all fairness, I have not visited the timeshare itself - but for general location and surroundings - I nominate Silverlakes Vacation Club in Helendale, CA, especially in summer!

Silverlake owners, please feel free to chime in if I am wrong...don't want to offend anyone - JMHO

"Mud season" in New England, January/February on Cape Cod. Though these are good places to stay if you are not concerned with weather and you want to spend time visiting Boston, Newport or the surrounding area.
