I'm a little worried abvout an upcoming exchange as I have never exchanged with II before.

We are exchanging through II into two units at the Wesgate Lakes Resort in Orlando Thanksgiving week, so we are arriving next Saturday 11/22. We wanted to have both units in the same building so I called the resort a few weeks back to make that request and they had no record of the reservation. They said they don't typically get exchanges until two weeks before so I waited till this past Monday and called again and still they had no record of the reservation. They suggested I call II and have them fax a copy of the reservation to the front desk. I did that and although II was reluctant they said they would do it. I called back later that day and the resort said they had no record but it would probably take 24-48 hours to get it in the system. I called today and the resort said they had no record of the reservation but not too worry that those don't get into the system till 24-48 hours before arrival.

My question is should I be worried? I don't want to have two families arriving next Saturday with no reservations and I would really like to get them in the same building.

Any advice appreciated.

Can you fax the resort a copy of your II Confirmation Certificate? Perhaps that would help with your building request.

Its not unusual for the resort to not receive the actual names on the reservation until a few days before. Dont worry about it.

This is completely normal - If you are worried about it, you should FAX them a copy of your reservation.

I had a similar thing with a DVC resort that I will be heading to in two days. Played the go around between II and DVC forever. Finally a DVC person checked with my name instead of the ressie number. Bingo - for some reason II gave me a completely different ressie number than what DVC had. DVC told me not to worry about the number difference because they had me in the system.
