I am wondering what kind of chance for confirming a worldmark properties at west coast, CA, OR, WA. in fall thru II? I guess some place like Angel camp, clear lake, are not very hard but how about some popular resorts? Also, any chance in flex time?

Actually, the trade power for Angels Camp and Clear Lake are very good in II. That tells me they don't get too many weeks in those, while within WM those resorts are very available.

WM in general has very good trade power in both II and RCI, because only about 3% of WM owners exchange - they can go to any of 70 resorts without having to go through the costs and chances of exchanges. And no WM owner has a home resort advantage over another.

Anything is possible in Flex.

But since you are a WM owner, it's way easier for you to book using your WM credits, and you may have any date of your choice in the fall, at many many WMs. The II exchange fee of $149 (for on line) is by itself worth about 2,500 credits. You may get a 1BR in many WMs for 6000 credits in white season.

If you want to use a non-WM on a WM, you may look into WM's Exchange Plus program
http://www.wmowners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6079
or direct exchange with another WM owner by posting on WMOwners.

Using WM points to exchange back into WM. Has anyone traded back into a WM through II or RCI using WM points. I was wondering about WM Anaheim. Took book a week through WM a 2 bedroom cost 16k points, but if you got it through II or RCI it would only be 10K points right?

Exchange fee of $189 would translate to 3,150 credits at 6 cents per credit. Still a bargain at 13,150 credits, although not as good.

Intangibles:
1. A WM booking would be 100% cancellable up to 30 days before.
2. With a WM booking you may choose the unit type (e.g. Queen, Twins, Special Needs); with an exchange you can't.
3. Owner bookings may beget better-located units.
4. With owner bookings you may book the most desirable dates.
5. With owner bookings you may book any special dates you want.
6. With owner bookings if you are on the waitlist you usually get the unit at the end; with exchanges you may not.

2850 credits @6 cents = $171.

Thank you for the insight, it is very helpful. Admittedly, worldmark is very flexible and a powerful trader.

Do you think you could get these with a 6k 2bed blue on deposit? That might make it worth it? Other wise it sounds like its easier to book as an owner for the extra $170.

WM and RCI recently changed the way RCI Deposit First exchanges work, such that Deposit First does not offer the upgrade advantage any more. Please read the more recent posts in WMO's Vacation Exchanges Info forum regarding RCI exchanges for more info.

The II Deposit First advantage is still there, but WM Anaheim is only on RCI, as it was built after Wyndham moved WM back to RCI.
