Now that most people are working from home and children are doing school work online, Most people are looking for suggestions on Touch Screen Computers with SSD Solid State Drive (no moving parts) with Windows 10 with IPS/HDMI and tablets With file sizes getting larger and larger, it’s never been more important to have a way to store and rapidly share videos and high-resolution images. Instead of saving files, docs and photos to a Lexar USB JumpDrive What is your opinion of (Hyundai) External SSD for data storage. Terabyte (TB). What about Wireless Printers. Do you store to the Cloud.

We have a wireless printer/scanner/fax. Don't use the fax but it is great for printing and scanning. I store photos/files on my computer backup external drive to backup.

How to Stay in touch with your friends and loved ones

Tracfone Instructions

First Step

Just opened and unboxed my new LG Premier Pro LTE Tracfone from HSN.
Box contained my new phone with a notice that said, Do NOT remove battery.

Included: white wall charger & black car charger. First step ... to charge up the
phone, (it was 50% charged) . Turned on phone and there are a couple of things
to do to get Android updated and working. Just have to click next for most items.

Next Step

Tracfone - Lets Get Started card is navy blue with mostly white print
Go to Activate . Tracfone . com or call Tracfone`s exclusive number

Tracfone - Start Here - Red Card inside the
phone Box for the Phone`s Serial Number.

Note: If you are a current Tracfone customer, upgrading to a new phone,
you will be able to transfer your service and airtime balance to the new phone

Best of all.. Tracfone has - No Contracts - No Bills - No Credit Check
No Credit Card Required - No Activation Fee - No Cancellation Fees

* Waiting for phone to charge to continue with the transfer of service *

Later, I will update you on my opinion of the phone and the reception.

Samsung SSDs here.

Google Drive for non-picture file storage, especially if you want files synced between computers.

Amazon Cloud for pictures because it's free with Prime. Put the Amazon Photo app on your phone and it will upload automatically. Google has a similar app.

You may want to look at a Chromebook. Cost can be considerably less with similar functionality. Agree with using Amazon Photo because of the flexibility with access from all your devices. Google's photo feature is also a viable option. Especially since they also offer a cloud storage option (Google Drive) for other files as well. As far as printer goes. Suggest printer/copier/fax. But choose one that uses ink tanks rather than ink cartridges. The printer may cost slightly more up front but cartridge savings make up for that plus.

One thing that hasn't been discussed yet is bandwidth. Your internet connection needs to be fast enough, with no downgrading, to support all your devices. Not just your work computer. You also need to make sure your wireless modem for your home network isn't a bottle neck. It doesn't make sense to signup for high thru-put from your provider to cheap out on your home wireless router.

I use a RAID network drive and back up to the cloud in various ways, Amazon Prime - free photo storage as well as reasonable file storage, files on one drive and system back up to norton. I use icloud over wifi as well, makes my phone backup completely automatic and painless. RAID is basically two drives which in the simplest form are "mirrored" meaning the exact same thing on both drives. One fails, the other drive is able to carry on with out data loss. Obviously, you need TWO 1TB drive to hold 1TB of data. How many resources and money you dedicate is a function of how sad you will be if something is gone forever. So, back up computer to local drive, back up that drive to cloud.

We have the SanDisk Extreme SSD cards. You can get 2TB for $299 and or 1TB is only about $160. Super fast when used with USB 3.1. Since we have Office 360, OneDrive works for syncing files between computers. I also like Amazon Photos for backing up all of our photos. Can't beat unlimited storage and included with Prime Membership. But will they ever go the route of Photobucket and hold images for ransom down the road?

I just had installed a 1TB SSD drive in my 2011 iMac. Total installed costs was about $250. Its amazing how fast that drive is. The computer runs faster than it ever did. Boots up very quickly 30 seconds vs several minutes. I did this as a temporary fix until the iMacs come out with the next version and hoping its a major design upgrade. I wouldn't buy another computer without an SSD drive. I also store all my photos using Apple storage, plus I have copies on external drive, plus I keep another external drive with copies off site. When I am gone they will probably all be deleted or erased.

We didn’t need as much space for storage as others so I bought a Crucial 500GB SSD. Easy to install and blazingly fast! $70 and it included free software to clone our 9ld hard disk drive.
