Our second try to buy Marriott Koolina 2BR LO OV EOY Odd Years passed ROFR!

Our first try, we were buying at $5200, didn't pass ROFR. We worked with Michelle Hernandez of Timeshare Professionals Inc. very nice lady. Highly recommended.

As soon as we found it didn't pass ROFR, I contacted Mr. Syed Sarmad of Advantage Vacation (Thanks GregT for your recommendation, and yes I did tell him you recommended him). We found exactly what were looking for and started the purchase.

A week after it was submitted to Marriott, we found out today that it passed ROFR! Mr Sarmad was very prompt with our email exchanges. Very satisfied working with him.

We got the week for $6000.

I'm sure this is just the beginning of my many queries being a new Marriott owner :whoopie:

Very nice. Congrats. When I bought mine a couple years ago, I paid $5950. With all the other fees, I was into it $6600. I also have an EOY Odd.

Congratulations on your purchase. We did the same thing with an EOY even and look forward to our stay next year. It is a beautiful property. Good price too. The market for MKO seems to be pretty stable. Enjoy your new ownership.

Congrats. This is the resort I own. In the past it has yielded some nice trades. Studio for 2BR Waiohai. Studio for 3BR St. Kitts. Studio for Ocean view back at Ko Olina (I own mountain).

Of course. Simply staying at Ko Olina is no shabby consolation prize ha.

Congrats, heckp! I know you must be super excited!!! Ko'Olina is a gorgeous area and I personally love that it is out and away from the big city of Honolulu. I haven't stayed at the Marriott there but have stayed at Aulani a couple of times already. LOVE it!

We are waiting on closing docs ourself for an EOY even years 2 bedroom lock off in Napili tower where we already own 2 weeks EOY odd. It sure is a good feeling to pass ROFR isn't it? Congrats again!

Silentg, if your question was directed at me, I'm afraid we had to settle for another float week for now. We would REALLY love a fixed week but it would need to be weeks 1 through 8 or 9 and right now those are just too pricey for us to justify.

Thank you! It feels good to pass ROFR indeed. We exchanged there in 2011 and fell in love, not only at the resort but the island itself, of course we also loved Maui but we still wanted the busy feel of the city.We felt like we were "home" (we're Filipinos) and most of the Filipinos we met there were from the North of the Philipppines were we are from. The Filipino food from the many flip restaurants taste exactly like the food I grew up with. We didn't get the chance to go back since. Last year we started looking to buy but we held of. This time we pursued it. We are very excited. Looking forward to our first use as owners!
BTW, Aulani was just being built then and we used to walk there to check it out.

Congratulations! I just checked out the resort and it is BEAUTIFUL! I also love that it is close to Honolulu but looks like it gives the feel of the Big Island or Maui. If and when we ever get back to Hawaii, would love to check out the resort. Enjoy!

my wife fell in love with Waiohai...after our 2nd ROFR, I told her I was going with Ko Olina...but she would have none of it.

So, I get to pick our location every other year. This year 2016....Waiohai. Next year....see you in Ko Olina (if the gods of trading be kind to me...)
