I have several ongoing searches, and one came through overnight. We are going to Emerald Grande at Harbor Walk Villages (EGG) next summer! They have limited exchange through II since they are a Wyndham property.

The place looks AWESOME for the whole family, I think the kids will love it! :cheer:

Just had to share with some folks who would share my excitement about exchanges! We were confirmed into a 2Br, but it has a bunk room for the kids in addition the 2Brs!

I didn't realize this was a Club Wyndham Plus property until I read your post.
It looks fabulous!

We were in Destin in January and walked around the property. Truly awesome place, I am emerald green with envy.

We also just got a trade via II into this resort. 3 bed 3 bath unit for the end of Feb 2013. Got the trade with a 1 bedroom Marriott Summit Watch gold unit.

I had been doing daily searches for Marriott's Legends End in Panama City FL for the end of Feb and nothing was coming through so put in an ongoing search and selected EGG for one of the 3 required search options. It came through the next day.

Thanks for the idea! I added it to our request yesterday and got a confirmation overnight for next summer. Picked up a 3 bedroom for my 1 bedroom Sheraton :whoopie:

I got matched with an Easter week for this year, a three bedroom. Got that exchange via an ongoing request with my WM points. Would have only cost me 4k WM points, since it was matched within 60 days of checkin. I was going to keep the reservation but then I realized, this resort is not on the beach. I also read very mixed reviews about the sand bar the resort drops you off at. Still, the rooms look very nice so I was going to keep it but I just couldn't come to terms with not being on the beach. So I called the resort to find out what three bedroom layout I would get if I kept the exchange. There are four differnt 3 bedroom layouts. I was told all II exchangers get room type E-2. The different plans are on this resorts website. Room type E-2 is very nice, two master suites, but it is definately the least desirable of all the room types, in my oppinion. The third bedroom is very small and has no window, if the trip advisor posts are to be believed. I also read not so great things about the pool being small and not well heated -- so I let my Easter reservation go, even at such a cheap cost using my WM points.

I'm sure this resort is very nice and some of the things I didn't like (i.e. cold pools and a cold ocean) won't matter in the summer. Still, I could have had a July 2013 week in a 3 bedroom and I didn't book it becuase this resort is NOT on the beach, and the "beach" this resort uses is actually a sand bar in the middle of what looks like a harbor.

I think a better room layout is the two bedroom for this resort. It is actually a 3 bedroom unit but the third bedroom has bunk beds and no attached bath. Still, from all the negative posts about the 3rd bedroom in the the three bedroom unit, I think the 2 bedroom unit would be more functional for a family.

Thought I would share the room type layout all the II exchangers will get and remind everyone this resort is not on the beach. Too bad there aren't any nice ocean front Panama City resorts. Wyndham has one on the beach, but that is through RCI and really tough to exchange into.

Thanks for the info on the 3 bedroom layouts. I would have preferred Marriott's Legends End but will make do with this unit since there are only two of us to use it. This particular week and panhandle area was needed to finish our 7 weeks in Florida and be on our way to catch a cruise out of New Orleans.

Another issue I have read about is the $10 per day the resort charges for internet access and I believe there is an additional per day resort fee. I'm not sure if these fees are charged just to renters or they hit up exchangers and owners also. There was nothing about additional fees in the confirmation from II.
