WKORVN Opinions on the likelihood of my getting a "Bad" Oceanfront view requested

I made a reservation on Wed, Nov 13 at 1:51 PM for a stay starting Sunday, 07/13/2025 for 13 nights at WKORVN in an Oceanfront unit.
So my reservation was not made right at midnight 8 months out but about 14 Hours after that.
While I like the fact that we could stay in one unit for our stay I really do not want to be looking at one of the really bad Oceanfront views WKORVN can have for those 13 days
I know no one knows for sure but how likely does it seem that I could avoid a really bad view and that I could wind up with a decent view?

High probability you'll be in Bldg 5, unlikely you'll get one of the 'true' OF units and 50/50 as to whether you get the low floors behind the bar. Saving grace might be that demand, even for prime weeks like these, has been curtailed due to the fire. In 'normal' years you wouldn't have got a sniff at OF for those weeks at 8 months.

I agree with @EnglishmanAbroad. Low probability of a good unit because July and Whale Season are peak season and will be full of owners.
Perhaps I would be better off with an Oceanview reservation?
Counterintuitive but?
(And I am talking about WKORVN not WKORV)

I'd stick with OF as the OV you'd get would likely be quite a way back and potentially close to the noise of the highway.

Ocean View at WKORVN faces the park open space towards Nanea. Here's Typical Ocean View:

I could take a typical Oceanview like that much better than the back of a building ( which is labeled OF ) but I think that what you are saying is that at this point I will probably not be getting that good of a view but rather a much more distant view?

We borrowed to book last summer and had to call the reservation line so we weren't booking exactly 8 mos out. We got an incredible 1st floor view facing the boardwalk .

Several years ago we booked an oceanfront at North, 8 months out, and got a great 3rd floor unit in building 8, overlooking the pool. I wish you well!!!
