So to recap...

If I look at these resale ads... I won't mention which ones (don't know the policy here about that).. and it says...

week(s)
7, floating

it means absolutely nothing.. it's the same as just floating. I still have to fight for week 7 with everyone else..

But if I see a...

week(s)
7

That's an ultra and I can get the room before it goes into the 12 month pool.

What happens to the ultra if I decide I want to go on week 25 instead? Does it work like a normal float in that case or is it week 7 or nothing?

Thanks for all the help, it's so much nicer to have all these details worked out before you drop the cash! :ponder:

Robert

If it states just week 7 w/o stating that it is fixed - I would not assume that it is fixed. It must be deeded as fixed or Ultra. The Ultra Premium just means that they do not have to call and reserve/confirm. A fixed or Ultra villa owner can choose to float if they wish (most notify SVO) and will go into the home resort float period (8-12 months) like the rest of us.

To prevent them from selling more unit/weeks than the resort has, all deeds have a unit number and a week on them. Unless the original purchaser spent the extra $$$ to lock in a week, and/or Unit, all units are floating. So the fact that it says Week 7, Floating only means that when Starwood assigned that deed, it came up with that unit and week.
