I thought others might be interesting in the following offer (below) to extend a stay at WKORV for $159 per night.

The offer turned out to be great timing for me. I am headed to WKORV-N over thanksgiving. I had been waiting for airline tickets to come down in price, but I finally gave up bought tickets for $500 arriving 2 days early and leaving 3 days later. (Last I checked, the best non-stop flight I found was $1800 and the best 1-stop was $1150 for saturday-to-saturday from SFO to OGG. )

As a result, I just started to explore hotel options. Ideally I wanted to stay at WKORN for the convenience, but the rate for a studio was $425 per night. I was about to book the sheraton or westin hotels with starpoints, when I received the offer below. At $159 per night, it seemed better than spending 12K points/night to stay at the sheraton or westin hotels.

As you prepare to rediscover energy, spirit and balance at The Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas, we invite you to let those feelings linger longer by adding additional nights to your stay at exclusive Owner rates.

For a limited time, you may extend your stay on Maui starting at $159 per night* for an island-view studio villa. To make this visit to The Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas your most memorable yet, call 888.882.8365 and mention rate code OWNII.

*Offer valid for new reservations only at The Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas for reservations completed by December 18, 2008. All reservations are subject to availability at the time of reservation. Offer not available November 21-27, 2008. Price is per night, per villa and does not include any taxes or resort fees. All incidentals are the responsibility of the guest. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card upon booking.

Spent a week at the Westin. What a place. We stayed an extra night down the street at the Sheraton Maui in $199 oceanview which is normally around $400-$500. Booked in March for a May stay. We then used our AAA discount so it was $189 and then got there and was upgraded to an OF room. I was very pleased with the resort.

So $159 for Westin is a terrific deal. I wish Westin had TS resorts on the east coast beaches.
