I think most TUG members are too savvy to fall for these scams, but people should be aware that all the hype over the release of Windows 10 has provided a great opportunity for scammers to repeat some of their favorite old tricks. You probably know someone who is vulnerable.

If you get an email from "Microsoft", telling you to click on a link to download your copy of Windows 10, it's an attempt to get you to download ransomware. Don't let your friends click on this link!
Also, the scam phonecalls have really ramped up. "Tech support" is working overtime trying to help Windows 10 users get rid of viruses on their home computers - which they are spotting remotely in their offices in Microsoft! :hysterical: My friendly tech support guy was so worried (at least I *think* he was worried - his accent was so strong it was kind of hard to tell), he called me just after 7AM this morning!
