I agree. I wouldn’t have three months ago. But I did some own self-introspection.

Growing up, most Asian Americans in Northern California hated museums, streets, and buildings named after the Crockers, railroad industrials who exploited and often starved cheap Chinese laborers.

I started to sympathize with folks of African descent who must be similarly or even more disgusted with the word “plantation.” Though exploited, the Chinese in the 1800s were not enslaved.
