Will the resorts open again?

I have a June 1st reservation at Lake Tahoe, no flight involved. I don't understand a resort like that not reopening soon. Any word on the streets out there, as to when things might get rolling again?? I retired March 16th, I can't wait to live again, this is getting really old really quick!!

Right there with you except for the retirement (Congrats). Our June 21st trip to South Carolina is coming quick.

It depends on what the states will and will not allow. Plus Wyndham has to consider the safety of its staff. I know people want to get back on vacation because they are tired of being coupled up, but safety is primary. Besides, many venues and tourist attractions will be closed. Meaning you might not have a lot to do. Many of the amenities like pools and hot tubs will be closed.

I have very reliable sources that say the Tahoe resort will be "soft" opening on June 1 at a 50% occupancy threshold. We likely won't be able to book any new reservations starting prior to June 16 as they've shut down that availability in the reservation system. I understand they will honor previously made reservations in that timeframe on the basis of "owners first" (no RCI or rentals), and then by a "first in" by reservation date schedule until hitting the 50% threshold.
