Will Hyatt rent out your deeded week or are you on your own by renting it through Redweek, Airbnb, VRBO, Ebay using a guest certificate?

They will for 40 % the last time I dealt with them. And with no guarantee they will rent it. And then later they added to the contract a cancellation fee even though they did not rent the unit. That’s why I went looking for other alternatives.

So call them and ask about their rental policies. Maybe things have changed.

Last year I used the full service redweek and it worked perfectly. I know there were many issues recently with redweek, but my rental was prior to the virus issue.

Redweek works great. I use their Verified service but handle the money and rental agreement myself. Full Service handles everything for you but you lose a lot of control
Which isn’t good when things go south like this year.

We checked with Hyatt too about renting ours. With Marriott they make the decision on the spot and check is in the mail. With Hyatt there are no guarantees and you might get it back two months out. They also report to the IRS despite the fact what you make likely doesn’t even cover maintenance fees. So another hassle.
