Why won't Groupo Mayan deposit with II?

I'm trying to stir some interest in challanging Grypo Mayan about not letting us deposit with II. I belong to RCI and II and have been very frustrated trying to trade with RCI, but I have been very successful with trades (with my other resorts) with II. I do NOT intend to upgrade to BLISS just so I can trade Mayan's with II. If Bliss can trade with II, why can't the other Grupo's especially The Grand? I know II says they only take the BEST resorts ??? but The Grand (and the regular Mayan) are as nice as most resorts that they have. Is this Grupo's rule or II's rule? Hope someone from II will answer us too.

WKORV, WKV, 2-SDO, 4-Kauai Beach Villas, Island Park Village (Yellowstone), Hyatt High Sierra, Dolphin's Cove (Anaheim)
Resorts have written agreements with their affiliated exchange company. Since they are already affiliated with RCI, that may preclude them from affiliating with II - they make have an exclusive agreement with RCI. This is true with all resorts - most are affiliated with II or RCI, but not both. Only a handful are affiliated with both.

Overall, I have been satisfied with RCI for the past 20+ years. I joined II because my Polo Towers Villa in Vegas would only trade with II. I joined because they gave me 2 years for 1 and guaranteed my exchange or a refund. I got a Grand Luxxe 2 bedroom suite, which is what I wanted to trade for.
I don't think this is going to be like the fence in NV. I believe DeniseM is correct about exclusive agreements with one or the other.
I was hoping RCI and II would merge.
