Why no ongoing search in Points?

In the weeks system I can make a request for an ongoing search if there is no current availability.

With points there is no similar function.

It seems a bit unfair that a points member can diligently check every day for months trying for a special location, only to lose it to someone who is lucky enough to make their request at exactly the right time.

Is there any chance RCI might consider such functionality. I know that I would gladly pre-pay to avoid having to check in multiple times daily in a vain effort to land a resort.

It would seem that it would be a boon to RCI, as members would pre-pay as in weeks giving RCI better insight into revenues, not to mention the positive cash-flow implications.

We know that members want this functionality and we do plan to provide it as soon as the technology can be worked out. Weeks and Points use completely separate systems, and the Points system just isn't capable of the ongoing search function yet.
