RCI actually was the second exchange company to request a presence here. The Ask RCI forum was added to our previous bulletin board in 2003. The RCI presence here is an official duty of an RCI employee who posts here under the username 'Madge'.
Interval International (II) was the first exchange company to establish a presence here, in the person of Craig Urbine, Vice President Member Services. This was done by Craig as a "labor of love" on his own time, and it was not officially sanctioned by II. At the end of 2003, shortly before his departure from II, Craig announced the end of his participation in the forum. Despite our approaching them several times on the matter, II has not provided a replacment spokesperson, so we no longer have an active Ask II forum. The previous messages have been preserved, however, and you may still access the inactive Ask II forum on our previous bbs at www.tug1.net/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number=24.
We have had conversations with representatives of other exchange companies regarding their possible participation here. None of them have been willing to commit to the time and level of participation required.
Any other exchange companies that would like to have a forum similar to this one should contact us at admin@tugbbs.com.
