Who purchases the furniture?

I hope the person who purchased the furniture in the last remodel got fired. He/she obviously did not lay in the sleeper sofa before purchasing. That sleeper was so uncomfortable from day one. Now that is is years old, it is completely unusable. Total POS. We stayed at Marriott Frenchman's Cove last week, and their sleeper sofa is a dream.

Mperl, I have felt the same way at many timeshares. If they ever tested out most of this furniture they would never buy it. Seating can be the same way.

When I'm at any hotel, resort, or timeshare I often feel as though the furniture choice was inappropriate. Either it can't handle the use, is just inappropriate, or of obvious inferior quality. I then realize that someone made a lot of money on the sale...and that's usually the management firm (and vendor, of course). In our case, SVN receives a management fee of 10% for all purchases (I believe it's for all improvements) so as long as Starwood controls the boards I don't believe the owners financial interests are always (if ever) the priority when purchase decisions are made.
