... $1,148 in MF for an early December studio week, worth 640 points, at Main Street Station in Breckenridge.

Now, I guess the answer would be someone who really, really wants to stay in a studio, in December, at Breckenridge.

But I wonder if that buyer exists.

I mean, even if you roll over the points toward a II deposit, you don't have enough to get a 2BR red week after two years. And, yes, I pay $1,000 in MF for a Marriott Streamside studio, but it's in late January when I absolutely know there's snow, and its main purpose is the trade within II for things like the 2BR Maui Ocean Club week I just dealt it for.

I think you answered your own question there. If I made about 3 grand more a year than I do now, I'd buy it. I'd never exchange it. I'd ski every year at my favorite resort with the (one) person of my choice, and I'd die happy. Some people are cool with a routine, especially when they are passionate about a sport/vacation combo. JMHO  (and the link is to a one BR, not a Studio, if anyone else is interested)

(Full disclosure here: I am not a points guy. I buy what I like and I go back as often as I can afford. I know that is not the norm here, so I thought it appropriate to clarify my TS Lifestyle)

And the current price is $100. More importantly, those 640 points will provide the owner with LOTS of other options for partial week stays even in high season. This might be a way to supplement existing points too.

Actually, the listing is wrong.

It's a studio. I'm pretty sure Main Street Station doesn't have 1 BR units. In addition, the studio status becomes clear when you cross-reference the point value and/or look at the linked floor plan.

And even the desire to use it for skiing is very tenuous, because it's an early December week (and doesn't give you enough points to book a studio during the better ski months). But Kal's correct, of course, you could go partial week with it.
