CNN televised the whole thing... I'm not a religious person.. But it was 4 hours of enlightenment....I know Whitney has done good and bad; but the service was all good... Stevie Wonder was AMAZING!!!!!!! He did a special rendition of Ribbon in the Sky....Kevin Costner (Bodyguard) revealed so many things that were unknown to me...

Helluva Tribute!!!!

I watched a bit of it. Never have been to a black church (or funeral service) so it's quite interesting for me to watch. I though Kevin Costner's speech was very good. RIP Whitney!

I thought Kostner was very emotive and affecting.
More heartfelt than many of his film performances.

But IMO, seemingly endless church-based funerals which last hours and
allow folks to ramble, is a disservice to the mourners who must endure it.
Speakers should have a time-limit, like for speeches at an awards show.

Hopefully they are having or had some sort of private family thing. I can't imagine her daughter having to sit through that.
