which resort to buy into

I am interested in purchasing in the Starwood Vacation network. Which property has the best price for the highest number of points? I am primarily interested in trading for overseas (especially Africa and Asia) as my daughter is in the foreign service and we will visit with her someplace overseas every other year. I also go to the Caribbean every other year when we are not visiting her. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
Starwood doesn't have any timeshare presence overseas. If that's what you want, you'll probably do better with an exchange program that has international locations. The only way you'd be able to do that in SVN is by converting to StarPoints (which you can usually buy at Starwood.com for just as cheap) or trading via II. Starwoods do tend to be powerful traders, for what that's worth.

Starwood does have a very nice (I've heard) resort on St. John. But the MFs are pretty steep (over $2k, I believe) as is the purchase price.

If you want in to the SVN program (without being able to convert to SPG points), and have the club benefits, the Sheraton Vistana Villages is the best buy up to 95,700 Staroptions....

If you are looking for 148,100 StarOptions, Kierland is your best buy.
