I am booking a Marriott for late Sept in
Orlando. I want a good destination resort for adults. They are all available. Which would you choose? Need help fast.

I feel that the newest marriott resorts in Orlando are basically for families and the older resorts ( The "Palms") are a little less "family" resorts. So if you want a "adult" resort I suggest one of the Marriott resorts with the word "Palm" in the name. (I believe there are 3 of them and even though they are older they all have been remodeled recently so are very nice)

hope this helps

My favorite is Cypress Harbour. Wonderful, secluded, relaxing location and spacious units.

Hi,
Lakeshore reserve is the newest Marriott in Orlando and right next to the Ritz and the JW Marriott which have good restaurants and spa. It would be good for adults but I'm not sure that the views from the rooms are all that great.

We love Cypress Harbour and it has a large adult following. It is good for families with kids too but it is a bit quieter than say Grande Vista and harbour Lake that have tons and tons of kids.

We have also stayed at Sabal palms and it has less kids but almost no activities. You do have access to the marriott world center with restaurants and great pools

I liked Cypress Harbour with its tea and cookies (adults only) most mornings where you could meet other adults and enjoy some great conversations.

The rules have tightened up. I could not go to a resort that did not have a 1 br unit available. I ended up at the Marriott Grande Vista. We are now going there in late May and again in late Sept. We will be coming from Sanibel in Sept., figured we would stay down there another week. We did not want to stay an extra week in June after school was out. We did not want to be there with the crowds and kids this year.
Thanks for the help!

Hi,
what did you mean by " I could not go to a resort that did not have a 1 bedroom unit available" ? Were you using an XYZ for the exchange?

Yes I was. II used to let you use a 1 br and get a 2 br when you requested a resort that did not have 1 br units. The program is stricter now. We booked
Grande Vista again. We are going to Grande Vista in May on an Xyz and I thought we would try another property. We will be on Sanibel the week before this week in Sept and thought we would like to stay in Florida another week.
We are at the Marriott Grand Chateau right now..nice property. I was using this week to XYZ so I needed to book..glad Sept finally opened up..slim pickings though. I thought Daytona area would be there and was looking at Ormond beach, but only Cocoa was available and it was a very poorly rated resort.
