Hey all,

I have never before traveled around Thanksgiving, but this year we want to go to Williamsburg for Christmas Town. We can drive from New Jersey to there usually in 5 hours. Will it be better to drive on actual Thanksgiving or the day after?

Thanks!

Thanksgiving Morning

In the early 80s we lived in MD for 5 years. First year I drove to Trenton area Wed after work. It took 3 hours to get thru tolls at Susquehanna River on I-95. Other years we drove up Thanksgiving morning and there was hardly any traffic. Never drove it on Friday, but highways were so empty Thanksgiving morning, that's when I'd go.

Have an enjoyable and safe trip,

Uncle Davey

Better to drive on Thanksgiving day. You will have to contend with Black Friday traffic the day after Thanksgiving.
