Hello,
Looking to take a trip to Destin and I have 2 options:
- Wyndham Beach Street Cottages
- Wyndham Bay Club II

What are the PROs and CONs of each of these resorts?
Is one renovated more recently?
Is one closer to the beach? (I think Beach Street Cottages or closer)
Any other feedback?

*Family trip to include 11 year old
*I have stayed at the cottage, but not at the Bay Club II (I know now to visit them all when in town)

Thanks

Have not been there myself but researched this recently. If I recall correctly, the Bay Club II is in the grounds of the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort (or whatever it is called) and you can use those amenities. But they seem to not be very updated. The Beach cottages don't have that resort access.

It is Destin so it is all good, but between the two Beach Cottages is across the street from the water...

While you are in Destin head over to Wyndham Emerald Grand and visit the shops and restaurants. There is always something going on there and it free, usually.

Bay Club II is on the back bay near the old convention center, in Sandestin. Another Broken Egg has a restaurant in the convention center that is seldom crowded. Shuttle bus to beach is available, but we usually drive over and park, taking our own Umbrella and chairs. Beach is VERY crowded during prime seasons. Baytowne Wharf has quite a few restaurants, love Acme Oyster House!

We prefer the Cottages. Closer to beach, and intimate, small setting.

Thanks everyone. I think I will keep my Beach Cottage resort and try to rent the 2bedroom at the Wyndham Bay Club II that I had as well before the cancellation period.

*I'll make a point to visit the other 2 resorts while I am there this time so I see the difference as well. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback!
