I'm thinking about taking the family (kids 12, 9, 7) to Lake Tahoe on our spring break (week starting April 4, 2009). I'd like to hear which one you recommend staying at (I'm waiting for my resale NCV to close, another couple of weeks).

What do you think my chances are for exchanging in. Looking at the travel index, week 14 looks doable.

Also, is there still snow at that time? It's been a couple a years and the kids have been asking to play in the snow and maybe take some lessons. Or should I try Utah or Colorado?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Snow will not be a problem at Tahoe in early April. The resorts close in mid-April, not for lack of snow but for lack of skiers.
