When is the Herring Run for Cape Cod? Is it mid-to-late April? What resort should I try to get? Looking for ideas.

I need ideas of places to stay in the NE to enjoy history and some sights. We absolutely loved driving a few hours from Brewster Green to see some history. We also saw a lot of whales while there.

We were fascinated by the herring run a few years ago, and Rick wants to go again. We want to combine Cape Cod with another location within a few hundred miles of Boston or Cape Cod. This is for next year. We liked Brewster Green but would like to try a different resort, if you have suggestions.

We loved our drive from Rockport, Maine to Cape Cod. Maine was a bit cold but the golf course at Samoset wasn't opened, so we took walks out there regularly until the last two days, when it did open.

We did go to a Red Sox game, which was fun. It was a full day of driving, taking the train into town, and the train going back was crazy.

We have deposits we have to use in RCI with our voucher toward travel after our trip cancellation.

We went to see it on our stay at Brewster Green on May 11-18, 2018. Last year we went to another resort beginning on May 18 and the run was over.

What about Cape Cod holiday estates or Seamist in Mashpee ? The former are small cottages which give lots of privacy in a wooded area .Seamist has been refurbishing and remodeling alot and offers spacious townhouses and 2BR. BG is always a great choice

Cape Cod Holiday Estates in Mashpee is my best timeshare in the Cape. It's great for social distancing with individual homes. 2 Bedrooms also have a privacy door for a 3rd sleeping area. Sleeps 6. I own 2 weeks in August which is a great time to be on the Cape.

During the May herring run in Cape Cod, it seems most of the restaurants are closed.

We did love Brewster Green. We are pushing this trip to 2022.

During May, the restaurants that close for the season start opening up. This year may run a bit late. I usually check our favorites for an opening date, particularly in the first half of May. We usually go in May, but this year we are not going in May and may skip a fall trip as well..

Brewster Green (two weeks).
Normally, many of the restaurants don't open until after Mother's Day.
