When is inventory available with Abound Points? 12 mo vs 13 mo?

I have been trying to book a couple of resorts at the 13 month mark and nothing has shown up. These resorts are in Aruba and Costa Rica. I see that there are single days available within the 13 month window but nothing greater. I have woken up at 6 am PST and looked right when the booking window has opened. I am wondering if either of these resorts are usually available at 12 mo or 13 mo? Do they split the inventory at different release dates?

There has been a ton of anecdotal research into this topic (and I've done some myself, but not necessarily for those resorts). Here goes my best effort at a high-level summary:

• availability is released both at the 13-month mark and the 12-month mark, but it seems that more is released at the 12-month mark (and there is some variance depending on resorts)
• there are some resorts that have very limited Abound points inventory in general because the trust doesn't own anything there (outside of the U.S. - which includes your targets in Aruba and Costa Rica)

My suggestion is to just keep trying or put in a wait list request.

I would also keep looking daily between 13 and 12 months. I have seen inventory appear between those two release windows.

For some Caribbean resorts, I seem to consistently see new inventory releases at 9am 1 day prior to the published 12 month release date....so keep that in mind.

You should also be logging in at 9pm PT the day prior to check online inventory as 13 month inventory sometimes comes online at midnight eastern. People are booking it before you wake up at 6am PT.

I think Marriott shutdown this loophole.
Have verified for multiple weeks/months and noticed that nothing seems to trickle out at midnight [9:00pm PST] the night prior.

I got my consecutive Costa Rica weeks at 9AM 13 months out. But that was arranged last November, seems things may have changed a bit since then. I tend to have multiple screens going on multiple machines so that I can click at different times and maybe see inventory before anyone else since it wasn't always at exactly 9AM. I did that when the PS5 came out for my neighbor, no one could ever order them but I snagged one. But yeah, not much points inventory there and probably none depending on time of year.

My plan was if I didn't get them to use cash.

I like the multiple screens idea. I never thought of that trick. I will try it next time.

You were asking about a couple of specific resorts, but it's also worth noting that none of the Vistana properties (Westin and Sheraton Vacation Clubs) are available at 13 months, the earliest they are available is 12 months.
