When is best time to request Royal Sands in II?

hi,
What season would I have the most luck getting Royal Sands that is also a good time to be there? I am a real beach person. My DH not so much. Will he enjoy Cancun?:ponder: We are not big drinkers/partiers. We do like to dance, eat and listen to good music and see good entertainment. How can I entice him to go to Mexico? We have been to Mexico cruise ports a number of times.
Royal sands sounds lovely to me.

We have decided that May is the best time for us.
Nice hot weather, long sunny days and calm winds.

You should also consider the Royal Haciendas in Playa.
It's more laid back than Cancun but close to Playa for dining and entertainment. It's also easier to get to Xel-Ha, Xcaret and Xplor if you want to try those.
