When does Wyndham deposit to RCI? Looking for OTA

I've had an ongoing search in for some time now for Old Town Alexandria beginning late March 2016. I know this is a VERY hard trade, but I've heard that there is occasionally some deposited to RCI. There is never any just sitting there, hence the ongoing search.

So the question, how far out does Wyndham deposit these? Would it be any different than other Wyndham properties? Seems like what is available without an ongoing search is never more than about 6 months out.

That's a great question I know that the first deposits go in from week owners. Other than that I would imagine that if it is that popular, why should Wyndham?

Whether an interval is deposited is ultimately up to the owners. Wyndham likely does bulk deposits based on historical trends used to predict the demand for deposits.

You are looking for Easter week, my guess is that you have already missed it.

I would expect Easter week to be completely booked by Wyndham owners, and not available as an exchange. If Wyndham is depositing holidays weeks, there is something wrong.

May (and prior) is already in. Wyndham typically deposits 7-8 months prior to use, one month at a time. OTA is for the most part never deposited. NH only in the deepest of deep offseason---for example, there is 1 2BR in mid-February in the spacebank now.

For March/April/May, you'd be much better off renting from an owner, and even that will be slim pickings at this point.

As others have said OTA deposits are really few and far between. NH is fairly plentiful Nov-February. Sept-October and March-early April (not the week before or after Easter) get some sporadic and often late deposits. I have seen the first week of cherry blossom festival National Harbor deposited about 2 weeks prior last year. I keep an ongoing search for mid June-mid Aug and nothing ever hits.

OTA is my home resort, and I booked March 2016 at 10 months out. Availability, even if you're a Wyndham owner, is long gone. The Cherry Blossom festival starts in late
March, and a lot of schools have spring break, so March is always booked up pretty early!

Yes, the only full week during your time frame that is even available to book by an owner is check in on April 29th, or May 6th and 7th.

Since Wyn already has deposited those months to RCI, I wouldn't think you're going to get a match at this point.

Only OTA deposits I have seen in RCI where in Jan - Feb. I have never seen any other deposits myself.

I had an ongoing search with RCI in place for 13 months for OTA, and it never came in. I finally arranged a private exchange with a great Tugger. I got my vacation, and I was able to give her the vacation she wanted. A perfect arrangement. So good, in fact, that we're doing the same thing again next year.

My advice: Don't waste your time waiting. Make other arrangements.

Dave
