When did Wyndham Oceanside Pier start charging 40 per nite for parking?

The website says "Two levels of complimentary parking. Parking spaces are limited to 1 complimentary vehicle for owners per bedroom. Additional parking spaces are available at $40 per night per vehicle."

We just stayed in April. I would not have known this. Just checked my confirmation:

• Two levels of complimentary parking. Parking spaces are limited to 1 vehicle per bedroom. Additional parking spaces are available at $40 per night per vehicle.

This place couldn't be easier or more pleasant (to register or stay at). No hassles, concierge very helpful (even though we are on the do not tour).

We had 3 rooms, but had day visitors as I have family in the area. We asked for extra parking passes, and it was no problem (I think we had 5 cars counting our day visitors). I did not realize the $40 extra could be charged and we were not charged. It is a little different -- valet competely handles the parking (not the concierge - and nothing to do with going to a presentation). The valet completes vehicle info so they have it, and if self parking you have a valet tag that you hang in your window.

There is valet parking, super friendly and helpful. But self parking is SO convenient. 2 levels of parking and the elevator takes you to your floor. Easier, IMO, than unloading kids or groceries on the circle. But.. we did both based on figuring out how easy it was, but also getting there in the pouring rain and just wanting to get inside, valet was nice. And, again, super helpful staff inside and out.

Maybe something has changed between April and now? Also, parking on the street was super easy, too - meters. Maybe a different time of year it'll be a different experience? We were April, the time before that September.

Hmm.. So I’m heading here in October and staying in a 2 bedroom. We plan to have family (who live in CA) visiting us some days. If I’m reading that correctly I should be able to park my car and one of theirs?

This is how I am reading. Why don't you call their front desk to confirm?
