When booking with bonus points, you cannot walk, so what is the best method to use them?

Can you use them to book three days and then just add a single day to that reservation and do that every day until you have all you need? Or do you have to do it in chunks of 3 day, 3 days and hope you get them all consecutive?

No and no, bonus points reservations aren't changeable. You need to book the full number of days you want from the gitgo.

If the response to both of my questions are no, then how can you book them? You have to use them all at once and throw the rest away? If you book three days? you cannot book another three days to add to it? You just lose all the bonus points?

You basically have a bucket of points. You can book one big trip or several trips. You select your trips based on open inventory within 9 months of check-out.
See examples of open inventory at several destinations during various times of the year.

NOTE: Each booking will require a reservation fee (link) and has a cancellation penalty (forfeit reservation fee and if less than 31 days, forfeit points).

Well I suppose you could make consecutive 3 day reservations, but what's the point? They will charge a reservation fee for each one, and it's not the same as walking a reservation.

Well, what happened the last two years is that by the time day 7 that I wanted was available, the first few days were gone. I have to use them or lose them this year.
