We will be at the Surf Club next month and was wondering how we put in a request for a room and when to do so.

We have our reservations for ocean view but want a specific floor and room. I was just wondering if anyone knew who to contact to put in this request.

That other thread was about making a reservation for a week. I interpret this question as how to state a preference for location, view, etc.

Assuming I am correct, you should contact the resort about two weeks in advance and ask for "rooms control" or for the person who makes unit assignments. Then specify your request, making it as general as possible.

For example, if you ask for unit XX44 and it's not available, you may well drop to the bottom of the pile for assignments. But if you simply ask for a high floor, you would be much more likely to get your request.

Maybe I mis read the OP question but I thought they were different. I understand that they are asking when to request a specific room for next month. (I would call the resort 2-3 weeks out for specific requests).

The other post had to do with reserving units for the next year.

Got mine after my last post:

"Marriott has replaced the online pre-arrival form with their VEP program. VEP stands for "Vacation Experience Planner".

Each Owner will automatically receive a standard confirmation letter about 30 days prior to check in. This great tool allows owners the opportunity to arrange certain things through the Vacation Planner."

Put in my request and will see what happens.

23 Days and:wave:
