I just got off the phone with Wyndham. I was trying to book 4 nights at Coconut Malorie for next summer. I am an owner there and was using my ARP and couldn't even get 1 night there! What's the deal with this? I know it's a affiliate resort, but shouldn't I be able to reserve at least 1 night within ARP???

I think Wyndham has an extremely limited number of intervals at this resort. Wyndham/Fairfield did not own it very long. You may want to ask them how many intervals they own.

Not necessarily.

For you to do that it would mean another owner converted to WYN points for the timeframe you wanted and chooses not to exercise their ARP rights.

When I was compiling a NE availability in WYN resorts spreadsheet there were very, very few weeks available there and none in the summer.

If you have ARP privilages in the summer, which I would doubt given your profile listing 66k points, then using your own owned week to reserve would be your best option.

I had bought the 66k points so I could convert my Bentley Brook weeks into points. ARP summer privilages? I only own points here, what do you mean using my own owned week?

I don't believe Wyndham manage that resort any more. So it is upto the management company to put the inventory in. And have no idea how that process is going, and when actually it will goes in.

In ARP, it requires 3 days, 4 days, and 7 days. Check in and out has to be on Friday or Saturday (one day has to fall on here).

By the way, I thought when Wyndham try to get into that resort, most units are sold, so they are selling conversion there. I think it only has very small number of units there that can be put into UDI, and I have no idea Wyndham actually put some units into UDI also.

Coconut Malorie was an existing resort with existing owners and perhaps some blue time unsold inventory when Fairfield took it over briefly.

Thus Fairfield attempted to get existing fixed week owners to convert to Fairfield points and sell the unsold week inventory for it's points value.

As far as I could see no Summer interval owners converted thus there is no availability there for that time via WYN/FF points.

For converted weeks, owners have the right to reserve back into their owned unit using ARP at the 13 - 10 mth mark before other FF owners.

You probably own a week in Blue time that was converted to 66K FF points and for ARP are limited to that.

Just an update- I was able to book 4 nights in a 1 bedroom for the 2nd week of August. I was told that I have to call back at the 10 month mark to try and snatch the other 3 nights. I had to put in a request for the 4 nights through owner relation and got a call today telling me they booked the nights.
