I currently own a special season in Marriotts Cypress Harbour. I purchased this in 2009 so I could join the DC club if I want to. I am considering selling this and purchasing a Grand Vista platinum unit. I have been able to make very good trades with the Cypress Harbour but I was wondering if I would be better off with a Grand Vista lock off unit. I only need a one bedroom when we travel. If I purchased a unit now, I would not be able to enroll it in the DC club although I probably would not enroll my Cypress week anyway. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Deb

It may be worth considering. If you only need a 1BR or smaller, the lock off will give you two weeks for the price of one. We have found trading our gold in to larger units in like or lesser seasons, or in to like units in higher seasons to be fairly successful.

You may even want to call Marriott and ask them if they are buying back Cypress Harbour and if not, have them add you to their waiting list. You will likely make more out of selling the week back to Marriott than listing it on your own. Just something to consider.
