What would you do about a renter that hasn't canceled and is silent?

Ocean Pointe check-in April 10. Redweek verified with no prior direct communication with renter. $2,550 is in escrow. Redweek has not responded to multiple inquiries. Emailed and left a voice message with renter directly and no response. Will MVC deposit a misc week into II the day before check-in? I feel I am about out of time so it is roll the dice either way. Also I really hate to cancel if this renter really is going to show up. I can't imagine them doing that but if they do then I am in default of the contract by canceling without being asked to. I am stuck.

They might be there already.

I have 3 upcoming reservations at other Marriott’s. Practically begged a renter to let me find her a future reservation. She decided to go try credit card trip insurance. Her doctor told her not to travel because of preexisting medical condition. It was about a week ago that I last spoke with her.

2 more through another middleman company. No word from them. Hoping renters got the recommended trip insurance and that’s why I haven’t heard.

This is little different in that I am asking a Marriott specific question. I don't care if it is moved but I was wanting Marriott specific responses.

Ocean Pointe called me right after I posted this. They are trying to find out if the renter is coming. They always think my number is the renter because I keep it on the reservation.

The renter finally called me back. Super nice guy. Physician with 7 kids. Didn't think he could cancel and is really worried about being fair to me. I submitted the online cancellation request to Marriott and I told him whatever he decides to do is fine. I offered him $1,000 refund and a free replacement week later but I have a feeling he just wants his money back, which is fine too since he could get it from Redweek. The main thing that irks me is people who don't cancel until the day of or after and then the owner is stuck with nothing due to Redweek's stance.
