Are you going to have a rental car? Most Activities will pick you up at resort and return you. There is snorkling, swimming with dolphins, Zip lining, Camel Ride, etc. Wrong time of year for whales or whale sharks (La Paz). The main places the snorkeling trips go are Chileno and Santa Maria. You can drive to both of these locations and enter from the beach. There are toilets but I recommend taking a roll of toilet paper. We usually get to these beaches about 8am for snorkeling and swimming. No crowds, no waves, no wind. When the Tour Boats arrive several hours later hit the beach and enjoy the drinks and food your brought. There are at least 3 places to swim with the Dolphins but most of them are in large pools like Sea World. There is one in the Harbour in San Jose del Cabo. Search under Mexico there are several threads that discuss things 5o do in Cqbo.

We are headed to Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos next month! This is our third trip to Cabo in about 5 years, and the second trip near the marina.

Part of the reason we booked this location is for the swimmable beach, and easy access to our favorite Cabo restaurant, The Office. We are looking forward to having ceviche or shrimp cocktail for lunch most days along with a margarita.

Depending on your level of adventure, you could book a day trip through one of these groups:

We have done the zip lines and camel ride in the past with Wild Canyon. We will be trying out Cabo Adventures for their camel ride on this trip.

Be sure to check the cruise ship schedule so that you know which days the town is likely to be more crowded.

There is a WalMart 1.5 miles away from the resort, so that is where we will be doing our grocery shopping.

Even though it's a bit of a drive, we love to explore the Thursday evening Art Walk on the streets of San Jose del Cabo.
It's got more of a colonial feel to it than Cabo San Lucas, and I just love to wander the streets, espcecially as the town transitions to the residential areas.

We have enjoyed renting kayaks from the busy beach area and paddling over to Lover's Beach at Los Arcos.

Then for great food, check out the definitive Cabo area restaurant guide.

Trying again...Is there a shuttle to the WalMart? We don't like to rent cars in MX.

CalGalTraveler, Pueblo Bonito doesn't have a shuttle to WalMart, but you can take a taxi for around USD$10, or Uber for USD$2.50 each way to/from Walmart (from Medano Beach resorts). You might have to go outside the gate of the resort for pickup if you take an Uber. The taxi union is very strong and has deals with many of the resorts in Los Cabos so that Uber drivers can't come on property to pick up passengers, but are usually allowed to drop guests off at the lobby entrance.

OK, I cant tell which specific Pueblo Bonito we are talking about in this discusison. If this is PB Rose or Blanco (on medano beach), there is a shuttle from these to Walmart. It is the one that the locals ride, and it only cost ~50cents. It goes in a lap from the medano beach resorts, to Walmart, then through downtown cabo, and back to the resorts…..

Thanks. Is that a town bus? or a hotel shuttle? If town bus, how do you identify the bus and where is the bus stop?

It is a town bus. They are small 'ragedy' white school buses. They have handwritten signs made from cardboard in the front window that tells where they are going (i.e. WalMart). Mostly the locals ride them, but we have ridden them many time. We ride the bus to Walmart and take a taxi back if there are lots of groceries.
As for the stop, they run along the street on the back of the resort. You can ask the front desk. Very easy to spot and ride.

Camino Real is the name of the street. Directly behind PB Rose.
