A month ago I went to a HGVC timeshare meeting. I had an idea of timeshares before but did not really care for them as I knew it was very expensive buying straight from a developer. After the meeting, I really liked the concept that HGVC has with points that allows more flexibility with booking a vacation week. So I travel to NYC pretty often and found a HGVC timeshare at W57th St for resale at a very affordable price that gives 12800 points per year and is platinum season access. There is another HGVC timeshare in Las Vegas at the Trump Tower for about 1k cheaper in both annual MF and sale price but offers 16800 points per year. What I understood from the timeshare meeting is that more points is better since I would also be able to switch my HGVC points into HH honor points which is great since I also travel in the Middle East often. So is it better to go with the HGVC timeshare in Las Vegas even though I travel to NYC more often?
