Hi All,
leaving in few weeks and have booked a 1 bedroom GRN +. I am assuming that means a higher floor. What view should I ask for? North, South, closer to the strip or more on the East side? Any suggestions?

We usually stay at the Flamingo location and am unsure about Elara but we wanted to try something new.
Thanks,
Duane

We stayed there for the first time in Oct. I really like Elara and would suggest you try for the highest floor possible, facing the strip.

My wife and i had an airport view, which was OK, but not that exciting unless you are into planes....

We had friends staying with us on this trip, and they ended up with a view of the strip and kept raving about it.... I believe the higher floor rooms require more points, I know some of the room descriptions listed the floors.

Thanks. We did spring for the extra points for a higher floor. I thought South view also looked at the strip, just the MGM, NYNY area.

Also see you are going on a Tanzania safari. We went a few years ago and it was by far the best vacation we have ever taken and we've had some good ones. Enjoy!

Yes, you can see parts of strip when looking south, however the Marriott Vacation Club across the street blocks a lot of the view. At least on the floor we were on (around floor 25, i think). We could see the monorail, and the back part of the MGM, but not much of the front of MGM. You may be able to see more if you were higher, or closer to strip end of the Elara.

Thanks for the positive feedback on Tanzania. I am looking forward to the trip. It will much different that my typical vacations that's for sure!
