We are semi-retired and want to do some traveling. Should we rent points or find a timeshare to buy that has high trading power? What are some resorts that we should look at that has low maintenance fees and good trading power? Is this even possible? Please help!!

You could try some timeshare rentals first before committing to ownership. Look here on TUG or on other rental sites that have been mentioned. I have used Skyauction as well.
