What? No DVD players in many units at OLCC?

My friend just checked in today at OLCC and was assigned a unit in the East Village. She called to tell me to bring my portable DVD player. They were advised at check-in that they're now on a waiting list. We are due to arrive on Saturday, so I'm glad she let us know. I had not planned on carrying the DVD player. That's one more thing to carry. Darn! :wall:

I believe that only the River Island units have DVDs although the renovated Golf Villas may have them as well. You would think that all units would have them by now

Just a note, installation of DVD players in ALL units will be completed in 2009.

Also, ALL units will be equipped with high-speed internet in the upcoming year as well. :)

Will that Internet still be paid or free?

We were told there were no DVD players in the WEst village last year before we went. Much to our surprise, the renovated unit we were in did have one.

We're just back today from Orange Lake. We did have a DVD player in our unit. I also had to change my unit after entering the first one since some of the ceiling in the master bath shower was down on the floor. I could not understand how that could be possible if the unit had just been cleaned. Anyway, that meant taking everything out of the unit and heading back to the club house for a unit change. We were in the 88000 bldg in the east village on the 5th floor. The units are very nice. I had a few complaints. I saw a few roaches and had to call for an exterminator. When guest/owners arrived on Monday night over our heads, there was a child running and ripping from 12 midnight until about 1:30 AM. I called the next morning to complain. The noise got a little better, but the people had a big shin dig on Xmas eve and the noise was as loud as could be. There was a foul smell outside when we were entering/leaving the building. As a side note, we paid $400.00 for an economy car via EZ Rental, which was the best rate I could get for Xmas week. I started checking rates back in April. The car was a Toyota Yaris with no power anything. What a waste of $400 only to have to roll down the windows and lock each door separately. We really had to remember to lock each door. I'm glad that drama is over.
