I’m currently at Ocean Pointe in an oceanfront unit. We can’t go on the beach but we have the door open during the day so we watch the ocean and listen to the waves. Of course we also see those who ignore the closed beach signs.

Pools are open so go in during low occupancy times. Guests are keeping distance in chairs. Resort occupancy is around 50%. The nearest Publix has been fine for stock. Last time we went the garage was about 1/2 to 2/3 full. We were in and out luckily split.

Weather is great and we take a daily walk.

Rarely have anyone else in elevator. Mostly housekeeping. When we do we are each in our corner.

Owners who have been here for many weeks are exchanging their units with each other. Some who are ready to go home are renting to those who would rather stay put.

Wow, thanks for writing this. It's interesting to hear occupancy is 50% or so! Keep safe.

Occupancy may go down. We received an email from the GM today reiterating steps that have been put in place for distancing. It contained the following:

"Based on the above, and in continued support of federal, state, and local efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19, we are writing today to strongly encourage you to consider cancelling your upcoming reservation if you have a reservation that is arriving within the next 30 days."

While we were watching Jeopardy a breaking news flashed across the bottom of the screen telling of total virus cases in Florida and then breaking it down into counties.

The beach is closed yet everyday “special” people walking or sitting out there. The weather is spectacular and I soooooo much want to jump in the ocean.

We were going to drive down to HH Easter week, but I just cancelled it and re-traded to an October DSV I week. This message is what prompted our change of mind.
