I’m heading there in a couple of weeks and may need to provide some backup support at work. I’m just wondering how is the WiFi situation there. I was there four years ago and it was pretty slow. I wonder if it got any better

Can anybody shed some light on the WiFi?

I led the charge to change Wifi providers a few years ago. We now have Spectrum providing Wifi and Cable TV to the resort. I just tested it and today we have 244 Mbps download and 23 Mbps upload speeds. Better than I have at home with Xfinity.

Enjoy your stay at KBV.

Aloha Dalownerx3,
I can vouch for the Spectrum service.
We have watched movies on our laptop through our comcast/xfinity account with negligible buffering (might have been zero). I don't remember for sure, but chrome casting may not work due to log in interface; its been a couple of years since we tried.
Corrosion in the HDMI sockets in ocean front unit TVs used to prevent connecting the laptop to the TV. Not sure if that is still true.
Jack
p.s. a review would be appreciated

This occurred to me as an afterthought. A small number of years ago while spending a few weeks on Kauai, a fiber optic cable connecting Kauai to Oahu (I think) got cut. With some exceptions, all electronic linkages between Kauai and the rest of the world were down until it was repaired. Internet/wifi and cell phone were gone. Retailers could not take credit cards unless they had the old carbon paper version. I forget how many days it took to get repaired, but it was less than a week. Fortunately, we had sufficient cash with us to cover our retail and restaurant needs during the outage
