We have 332,000 points - so none of the custom categories. We have booked all but 51,500 points. If we were to deposit them into next year, when is the deadline?

If we were to use them, how would we go about buying (renting?) extra points to build up a week - and what would be the cost for that?

thanks

Non-VIP deadline for point deposit feature is the first three months of your use year.

You can use them by renting points from Wyndham for $12 per 1,000 or by borrowing from a future use year for a reservation within three months.

four months

Um, I believe the interval for borrowing is three months ahead - the Express Booking Window.

https://www.myclubwyndham.com/mycw/.../booking-windows/express-booking-window.page?

Express Booking Window
Express Reservations are confirmed three months or less prior to the desired check-in date.

When booking a reservation during the Express Reservation window, you may:
  • Confirm a two-night stay in any season
  • Confirm a one-night stay 14 days or less prior to the date of check-in
  • Borrow points; you may borrow points from your next Use Year up to the amount of points owned
  • Rent points; up to the amount owned
Note: Some Affiliate and Associate locations may require check-in or out on selected days and may also require a 7 night stay.

Express Reservations may be booked online or by calling the Vacation Planning Center at 800-251-8736.

For that few number of points, you are better off making an express reservation and borrowing from next year.

The answer to me is simple, if you find something within 90 days prior to March 31 then borrow from next year dont rent and book it. If not push them forward its about $300 in points so they're worth pushing forward for $39. Then you can always borrow within 90 days if you find anything after that this year

Thanks for this - not fully sure I understand the borrowing points from next year but let me read a bit before I ask stupid questions. Thanks!

Here is a reservation I just made with a mix between this years points and next years points. It's in April, so I'm within 90 days and could make it without having to pay a fee. I used up all my points this year already. I always drain my current use year early and borrow from the next year so I use everything up. Also, when you do it this way, you're more likely to get last minute discounts that aren't advertised. Even though I'm 100% resale, on average I get about a 15%-20% discount across all my stays.
