Could someone please explain what these are to a "newbie"? I also own points, but don't know what these terms mean...

Thanks,

If you happen to belong to RCI exchange company:

a) they offer deals on short notice timeshare weeks (extra inventory that's about to go vacant), wherein you get an extra condo week for $99 to $399?? just cash....you keep your timeshare week ....this program is called "LAst Call".

b) RCI keeps a hidden/proprietary "quality rating" on each resort...known as Vacation Experience Profile (VEP). It's inpart based on customer surveys they resceive after travelers stay at each resort. It's also one component of RCI's secret/hidden trading power formula that determines what exhchanges are "comparable" to your week(s).

On TUG, VEP is also spoken of in the fact that RCI's 'matching' software will filter out resorts that are way beneath the one(s) you own, and not offer them to you...with the concept that you'd be unhappy to have 'traded down' to a lesser quality resort. So TUGGERS sometimes speak of a VEP-filter that affects what they see in RCI's online availablitliy.

beezercatz,

Hatrack is correct about Last Call. I will just add that only selected locations are included, and these locations change every 2 weeks, so keep your eyes open!

The information about VEP can be found in the Ask RCI FAQ's here.

pcgirl54,

I have been very pleased to forward TUG feedback about this program to the folks who made it happen. If it's a hit with Tuggers, then we done good! ;)
