What is going on with Costco & Alamo rentals on Maui?

I have already booked my car rental for our trip to Maui 11/30 - 12/09 through Costco with Alamo - $218 total for an intermediate car. We have always used Costco and Alamo and I always check back to see if rates drop and rebook if they do. I just checked and the same car is $870
Costco shows Budget is the cheapest at $268. Why would Alamo be so much more right now? I really like the changes Costco has made to their car rentals booking site.

I noticed weird things with that as well. I was looking for 7 days starting 12/4 on Maui. At first, Alamo showed up around $20 per day, then a couple of minutes later I got a standard car for less than $9 per day (before taxes and junk fees). I looked a week later and it was like $800 for a week. Something funky's going on with their interface.
