What if you already have an RCI account?

If you buy into Wyndham but already have an RCI account (platinum member, actually) and a separate timeshare, how does that work? Do you end up with two separate RCI memberships or can they roll your TPU's from your RCI weeks account into your Wyndham/RCI account?

Just curious how it all works.

Thanks.

You will have one RCI account but the TPU from your non-Wyn week does not combine with Wyndham. Wyndham points deposit into a separate system and do not mix with the TPU. This is a change from a number of years ago.

I had both a non-Wyndham week and Wyndham points under the same RCI account years ago but I don't remember which I had first, Wyndham or non-Wyndham (Silverleaf).

They can link the accounts to an extent, and they will no longer charge you for the account - you will still be able to log in from RCI.com to see your TPUs - but in order to access the Wyndham points deposits you will have to go through the portal. That will not be combined. So you will have two ways to access the sub-accounts.

Yes this is exactly what happened to us, then they cancelled our Platinum status and sent us a credit back on our credit card prorated.
